Invaders

One day a race of aliens came to earth to enslave humankind. They were similar to our appearance, but biologically very different. This was due to their important organs were located in their left upper arm.

One member of the scout team went to the local supermarket to observe our world’s eating customs. While exploring, he found himself in the pharmacy section staring at a blood pressure machine.

The device looked similar to one from his homeworld to prevent constipation. Despite the warnings given to him by his superiors he decided to use it.

The alien inserted his left arm into the hole and pressed a red button. The machine began to make a humming sound as it tightened its strap around the alien’s arm.

By the time that the alien realized what the machine was doing his organs were crushed, leaving the invader in a state of great physical pain. The invader was dead as the pressure of the strap released. In a grocery store across town another alien found himself staring at another blood pressure machine. Its call beckoned the alien. Pretty soon all of the scouts were dead due to their curious nature. The invader’s mothership left after realizing their scouts had died, fearing the wrath of the blue and green planet below them.

Beware of beckoning, blood pressure machines.
