Hard Candy

One day a boy bought a bag of hard candy from a classmate raising money for their art club. By the middle of class, the boy had finished half the bag.

The teacher asked the boy a question. The boy sucked down the hard piece of candy catching it in his throat. The boy began to choke.

The teacher ran to aid the choking student but realized that he did not know how to perform the Heimlich maneuver. Luckily one student did.

The knowledgeable student calmly assisted the boy. The small piece of candy launched out of the boy’s mouth, hitting the teacher squarely in the head. The hard piece of sticky candy rendered them unconscious.

The class decided to take the remainder of the day off. The next day the teacher was found in their same position. The teacher had died.

Always eat hard candy in class.
