The Prankster

One day a new student went to school with his trusty ruler. The student unknowingly sat beside the school’s prankster.

When the student slid his ruler into his desk, it snapped. The student angrily got up to throw it away. The prankster asked if he could try and repair it. The student gave it to the prankster and returned to his desk.

The prankster took the pieces and taped them together so that it was impossible to tell that the ruler had ever been broken. The prankster returned it and assured the student it would not break again.

The student propped his chin atop the restored ruler. The tape held for a few seconds until the pressure caused it to break, revealing the sharp point. The ruler pierced the student’s chin plunging into his brain.

The prankster laughed.
